ANN ARBOR, MI – Performance Network Theatre recently launched a powerful, new and modern website at www.pntheatre.org to highlight their professional mainstage shows and programming. The website reflects the organization’s branding and vision for the new season, acts as a resource for theatre patrons seeking more information about shows, sells tickets to events, and assists in the solicitation of donations.

“We’re proud to work with an award-winning professional theatre like Performance Network, and to support the arts in our community.�?says Angela Kujava, Director of Innovation at Logic Solutions.

The desire to redesign the Network’s public-facing site stemmed from the theatre staff’s struggles to update and maintain the site and keep up with their rigorous performance schedule. With over 225 performance dates annually, and a 30-year history of quality programming, the Network engages with thousands of patrons every year and needed a website that could keep up with them. Performance Network reached out to Logic Solutions to redesign their site so that it would reflect their professional branding, provide information about shows and events, and engage with donors in a meaningful way.

The new site is responsive, integrates with the Network’s third-party ticketing system, and features a user-friendly events calendar. The modern design has an intuitive navigation that makes show and donation information easy for patrons to find. Best of all, the site can be easily managed and maintained by the Network’s non-technical staff.

Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish, and Keep the Faith

When I was attending Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission meeting as a commissioner last week, I thought I was the luckiest person in the world. It is beyond my wildest dream that one day I would be having lunch at the Governor’s residence in Lansing with fellow commissioners, government officials, and APA business leaders when I immigrated to the United States with my family in high school.

Looking back, it has been an incredible journey since the day Jimmy told Eric and me that he wanted to start a software development company twenty years ago. I was very fortunate to participate in the very first planning meeting in Jimmy’s basement and grow up with Logic.

In June this year, Logic will mark its 20th birthday. Since I know the marketing department will have a remote chance to ask me to say something about this milestone, I would like to take the opportunity to share my thoughts on this remarkable accomplishment.

Applied Fitness Solutions in Ann Arbor, MI, is dedicated to the enhancement of physical fitness, athletic performance, health, and wellness. Logic Solutions was identified, assessed, and granted the development contract based on its proven technology-focused strength, the readily accessible pool of competent development resources both here in US and in China and the agile Project Management and development methodology

This project lasted almost a year. Among the challenges were the complexity of USCAP’s business processes (educational requirements and individual member needs), the integration of multiple systems (back-end Association Management system and front-end 3rd party data sources), and the technical difficulties in converting its legacy data to the new system. The project had a two-phase implementation:

1. Launched in November 2013 – Website with basic membership management functionality, online courses, and general information searching.
2. Launched in March 2014 – A live meeting support (2014 Annual Meeting hosted a record of 4,800 attendees), with meeting materials publication, live registration, and post meeting evaluation that offers accredited academic certification.

Logic Solutions designed, architected, and developed a robust, flexible, and expendable system, based on a few new technology architectural facts:

• Drupal-based development framework that allow developers to leverage existing, proven, and flexible code foundation, as well as provide an user interface for basic system configuration by the customer themselves.
• PHP development tool for the development environment for advanced and up-to-date web technology and future expansion
• A universal API (Application Programming Interface) structure that allows us to communicate to back-end (any) enterprise information management systems

Above all, Logic Solutions supported this project with a highly competent, business augmented and energized project management and technical team that, along with USCAP staff, made this project possible. Kerry Crockett, Executive Director/CFO at USCAP, made the following comment �?“Although we’ve had some technical challenges with bringing this robust project to fruition, Logic Solutions developed a real partnership with the USCAP which will carry us into the next generation of technology.�?/p>

My Inch of the Earth also allows people to align their donations with a participating charity of their choosing. Through their contributions, donors can then populate their virtual inch with photos, videos and stories a specific memory or a dedication. These donations help partnering non-profit entities in two ways;  the organization receives much needed funding for their cause and increased awareness of the organization’s efforts as users share their inch through their social media and email.

TerraYebo and the My Inch of the Earth concept received a lot of attention from the public and investors early on, but in order to make it truly ready for market, enterprise level functionalities needed to be created or modified. TerraYebo approached Logic Solutions for assistance in building out the main application so that it would be positioned for success. “Logic Solutions has done a great job at assessing the technical needs of my company and assembling the right skill sets and team to deliver a quality product and affordable solutions,�?said Michele Favoretto, President and Founder of TerraYebo.

Since its initial launch, the response has been overwhelming. Major non-profit organizations including the National Park Foundation, VFW Foundation, Autism Speaks and many more have taken interest in My Inch. This fall, Henry Ford Health System partnered with the Detroit Lions and they chose My Inch of The Earth as the platform to help raise funds for their Game On Cancer campaign (GameOnCancer.com). Microsoft has also taken an interest and formed a partnership with TerraYebo to incorporate Bing Maps into the technology platform, which is just one of the enhancements that Logic Solutions has worked on since the website’s initial launch.

2014 holds a lot of promise for TerraYebo, My Inch of the Earth and all of its partnering non-profits, and the Logic Solutions team is excited to be able to help make the upcoming year the best one yet.
